Portraits are available with just a few weeks’ lead time. For further details of prices and requirements, please telephone or email me (contact details above).
My aim in finishing a portrait is to create a likeness and then go on to breathe life into the painting. This is done by combining a talent for copying accurately from photographs whilst at the same time adding an element that no camera can capture - passion for the subject and a love for the process of interpreting what I can see onto the paper or canvas. My experience of studying animals particularly my own cats and dogs shows in my work according to the people who come back to me time after time for repeat commissions.
Thanks for viewing my site and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
Also, please note that my interest in animal welfare and conservation has prompted me to pledge a small donation from any originals or prints sold, which will go to an animal charity appropriate to the image, such as the RSPB, RSPCA, The Brooke helping donkeys all over the world, Compassion in World Farming, The David Shepherd Foundation helping wildlife all over the world, The Marine Conservation Society, The Cat's Protection, The Dog's Trust or a suitable local animal or international wildlife charity - you can state a preference when you make a purchase and I will try to send my donation to your preferred charity. A favourite of mine locally is the Hillswick Wildlife Sanctuary who take in and rehabilitate marine animals and birds and work purely from donations and their own personal income. To order prints please browse my collection below and order through my Redbubble shop.
